We really love that moment where all of the skills learned during the 3 days of Pause Floral Workshop comes together during set up of the editorial. Our students’ eyes light up when they take a step back and observe what they have accomplished together. Thinking about each flower and creating something with intention Anita, our beautiful model, brought life to the exquisite Alana van Heerden gown. We could not stop staring at her, standing in the middle of this dreamy floral set up.
For our Pause September 2025 editorial we drew inspiration from deep purple velvet fabric. From there the vision grew to blues, purples and moody draping. We focused on steel structures, growing posies and also a beautiful purple velvet linen backdrop to set the stage. We discussed the backdrop structure and showed the students how to approached elevated installations when using flowers that would need a water source.
